يتضمن هذا المجلد "المجموعة الأولى" من الوثائق التي حصل المركز عليها من دار الوثائق القومية بدلهي، التي تعد أكبر مستودع أرشيفي في جنوب شرق آسيا، نظرًا لتعدد فروعها في العديد من المدن الهندية، فضلًا عن أنها متممة للمجموعات الوثائقية المحفوظة في الأرشيف البريطاني بلندن. وتحتوي محفوظاتها على مجموعة كبيرة من السجلات العامة، والأوراق الخاصة التي تغطي المدة الزمنية بدءًا من عام 1748، كما يوجد بها العديد من المخطوطات العربية والشرقية والفرامانات، التي صدرت عن سلاطين دويلات المشرق الإسلامي، هذا بالإضافة للخرائط والصور وغيرها من الأوعية التاريخية، التي تشكل مصدرًا مهمًا للباحثين والدارسين في تاريخ الخليج وشبة الجزيرة العربية وبلدان الشرق الأوسط، وغيرها. ويسير ترتيب الوثائق في هذا المجلد وفق ترتيب زمني تاريخي، إذ يغطي الأحداث والوقائع التاريخية للفترة (1840-1871)
