The latest new iPads (Pro/Air) all have embedded magnets on the back. A magnetic stand now becomes useful because you can snap the iPad on and off easily. While it's on, you can use iPad like a computer with a healthy line-of-sight posture. When coupled with SwitchEasy CoverBuddy/Origami cases, the iPad magnets will pass thru and the iPad will stay protected while on the stand.
